Albert Climent is a leader in the Spencer Stuart’s Technology, Communications & Media Practice as well as the Board & CEO and Clean Technology practices. As an industry executive, he brings an extensive and functionally broad international background in the storage, computing and semiconductor industries. With more than 20 years of experience in leading worldwide teams, Albert has held executive management positions with international responsibility in sales, marketing, engineering, product management, manufacturing operations and executive general management.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Albert was a senior vice president of worldwide sales, service and support at Celerity, a TPG company. Previously, at Read-Rite/Western Digital, Albert held positions of vice president and general manager of the company’s largest business unit as well as the corporate marketing function. Albert also has held management positions in engineering, product management and manufacturing operations at Amdahl Corporation/Fujitsu. In addition, he has developed and led several successful entrepreneurial ventures.
Albert’s search work has focused on domestic and international executive and board assignments from technology startups to Fortune 100 companies, including companies such as Avaya, Intel, Nvidia, LSI, Seagate/ Hitachi, Veeco, Synopsys, Cymer, Lam, Coherent, JDSU, Samsung, Broadcom, Aptina, Affymetrix, BEA/Oracle, Safenet, Openwave, Epocrates, HP, Inphi, Nanosolar and First Solar to name a few. Albert’s functional expertise is broad and includes CEOs, chief financial officers, chief operating officers, general managers, sales, marketing, operations, human resources and engineering. Albert has served as a firm quality champion and is a two-time winner of the firm’s Lou Rieger Quality award.
Albert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and holds a master’s in business administration from St. Mary’s College. Albert is fluent in English and Spanish.
