Ben Holzemer leads the firm’s Communication Systems Practice. He is a member the firm’s Technology, Communications & Media and Life Sciences practices. His client work focuses on identifying talent to address the issues of technology convergence and globalization. He specializes in the recruitment of senior executive positions and executive assessment, with a particular emphasis on senior roles in the communications systems, software, telecommunications services and healthcare-related software and systems sectors.
Ben brings a decade of domain expertise in the areas of convergence and globalization, having successfully founded and provided CEO leadership to two leading-edge communications technology (VoIP) companies during a time of extraordinary technological and regulatory change. Both companies developed significant international customers and partners, grew into multimillion-dollar businesses, and ultimately were acquired by larger companies. His business and operating experience also included time living and working on three continents, and the opportunity to travel and do business in more than 30 countries.
Ben’s executive search work focuses on assisting emerging-growth and venture capital-backed companies with their leadership requirements. In addition to placing CEOs and general managers, Ben also specializes in recruiting senior strategy, legal and finance executives.
Ben holds B.A. degrees from the University of California Los Angeles and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. He lives in San Francisco, California, with his wife, Sarah.
