Whether finding a player to compete in the Super Bowl, playing for a National Championship, or an executive in the business world, Jed has distinguished himself as an expert in identifying, assessing and developing leaders. A pioneer who brought executive search to the world of sports, he combines a powerful blend of intellect, leadership and high-level successes in recruiting business executives for board of directors, consumer, industrial, not-for-profit and sports to Spencer Stuart.

As the leader of Walter V. Clark, a behavioral assessment company, Jed re-energized the 50-year-old company with new products, research and software. He led the development of psychological testing, competency development and structural behavioral interviewing for the Super Bowl 49ers and the Super Bowl Green Bay Packers. While at Walter V. Clark, Jed coached some of the top business executives at General Electric, R.R. Donnelly, H.J. Heinz and PNC Bank in leadership. He has worked with the owners of the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams and the Chicago Bulls, to name a few.

Jed has conducted a variety of CEO and board searches for private equity and public companies, including: Solectron Corporation, Mine Safety Appliances, True Temper, USX Steel Corporation, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Wherehouse Entertainment. A high percentage of the 22 starters for the UCLA 1982 Rose Bowl Team were his recruits. During his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was named one of the top NFL assistant coaches.

Jed holds an M.A. from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from The University of Michigan.
