Bob Heidrick recently has retired as an active partner of Spencer Stuart, yet he remains an adviser to the firm, focusing on client relationships.
He is the former global leader of Spencer Stuart’s Industrial Practice. Most recently, he was responsible for senior-level executive search engagements and dedicated more than half of his time to conducting assignments for the firm’s Board Services Practice.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Bob was a senior partner of Heidrick & Struggles. Previously, for 16 years, he was president of The Heidrick Partners, a medium-sized national executive search firm based in Chicago. Earlier, he managed Robert Heidrick and Associates for five years.
Active in community affairs, he is a trustee of Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and chair of their nominating and corporate governance committee. He also is a trustee of Glenwood School and also chairs its nominating and corporate governance committee. He is a member of both The Commercial Club, an organization comprised of the top 300 business leaders in Chicago, and of The Economic Club.
Bob received an undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1963 and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1971. He and his wife, Raynelle, have three children and live in Naples, Florida and Chicago.
