Susan Hart joined Spencer Stuart in 1987 and co-leads the firm’s global Retail, Apparel & Luxury Goods Practice. Her client work includes board of director, general management, merchandising, operations and finance searches for a variety of retail clients, including companies emerging from bankruptcy.
Susan’s track record includes CEO and other C-level search work for: Chico's FAS, Eddie Bauer, IAC Retail (HSN), Jo-Ann Stores, Liz Claiborne, Liz Claiborne, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, Nike, Pacific Sunwear, Payless ShoeSource, Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks, VF Corporation and Warnaco. In addition to her client responsibility, Susan spent six years on the firm's management committee, responsible for global training and professional development.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Susan was the director of staff selection for the western region of Booz Allen Hamilton, the international management consulting firm. Previously, she began her search career with a major East Coast search firm. Her earlier experience includes several years with a major women's apparel company.
Susan is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in business administration.
