Christopher C. Nadherny

Chris Nadherny joined Spencer Stuart in 1986 following a career in consumer goods marketing with Frito-Lay and Johnson & Johnson. He conducts searches primarily for a broad range of direct-to-consumer businesses as well as industrial goods and services companies. Professionally, Chris has conducted more than 400 search assignments for presidents/chief executive officers/general managers, chief marketing officers, top sales/client service executives. He twice has received the Excalibur Award for excellence in quality search.

Chris played an integral role in building Spencer Stuart’s Direct & Interactive Marketing Practice, which he leads for North America. This practice focuses on the application of database and information technologies to build targeted business and marketing platforms through traditional direct channels, the Internet and multi-channel environments. Clients in this sector include consumer goods and service companies, retailers, and marketing service firms. Chris also has contributed significant intellectual capital to the traditional and digital direct marketing arenas, including Talent.com; New Frontiers in Direct Marketing Leadership; iB2B CEOs; Governance.com; Attraction and Retention of Digital Talent; Technology and Direct Marketing Leadership, and Mastering CRM, and a quarterly newsletter entitled OnTarget.

In the industrial goods and services arena Chris has conducted senior general management searches for a variety of companies including G&K Services, Ecolab, Paladin Brands, R.R. Donnelley, and Robbins & Myers.

After graduating from Union College in New York, Chris earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business in marketing and finance. He has been very active in support of the DMA and is a frequent speaker at the Senior Officers Summit and Annual Leaders Forum. He recruited the DMA’s current CEO, John Greco, and has placed several of their Board Members. Previously, he sat on the governing board of Savatar (a developer of database infrastructures for customer relationship management applications); the board of visitors for the Medill School of Journalism/Direct and Interactive Marketing at Northwestern University, and the advisory board of Internet Executives Club. Chris was also a founder of the Digital Leadership Exchange, a quarterly multinational dinner series for e-commerce CEOs.
