Chris Nadherny joined Spencer Stuart more than 15 years ago following an earlier career in brand marketing with Frito-Lay, Johnson & Johnson, and Burke Marketing Services. He conducts searches primarily for a broad range of digital/e-commerce, multichannel and traditional direct-to-consumer businesses, and branded consumer product organizations. Professionally, Chris has conducted more than 450 search assignments for presidents/chief executive officers/general managers, digital/online/e-commerce leaders, chief marketing officers, senior CRM executives and board directors. He has twice received the Firm’s Excalibur Award for excellence in quality search.
Chris played a central role in building Spencer Stuart’s former Internet Practice and current Digital & Direct Marketing Practice which he now leads for North America. This practice focuses on the application of customer data, database analytics and information technologies to build targeted business and marketing platforms through both online, multichannel, and traditional direct marketing environments. Clients include consumer goods and service firms, retailers, hospitality and leisure companies, pure play e-commerce organizations, private equity portfolio companies, industrial service entities, and marketing service firms. Chris also has contributed significant intellectual capital including Talent.com; New Frontiers in Direct Marketing Leadership; iB2B CEOs; Governance.com; Attraction and Retention of Digital Talent; Technology and Direct Marketing Leadership, Mastering CRM, Best Athlete Marketers, The Multichannel Leadership Challenge-Identifying the Right Talent for a Company’s e-evolution, and a quarterly practice newsletter entitled OnTarget.
After graduating from Union College in New York, followed by several years in the telecommunications industry, Chris received his M.B.A. from Wharton Business School. He is also a founder of the Digital Leadership Exchange, an annual gathering of e-commerce and digital CEOs. Chris is the prior chair of Spencer Stuart’s Partner Development Committee and served for multiple years on the firm’s Board Nominating Committee.
