Tahnoon Pasha is based in Spencer Stuart’s Singapore office and is a member of the firm’s Financial Services Practice. With nearly three decades of experience in the investment management industry, Tahnoon specializes in financial services searches, working with a range of clients in the asset management, insurance and sovereign wealth sectors in Southeast Asia.
Global expertise with deep Asian insights
- Prior to Spencer Stuart, Tahnoon was the co-founder and the chief executive officer of Cynopsis Solutions, providing statutory, regulatory and management reporting solutions to insurers, asset managers, financial advisers, banks and securities companies.
- Previously, Tahnoon served at Aviva Investors as CEO of both the Asia Pacific regional hub in Singapore and the equity and fixed income businesses in the region. His key achievements include winning and overseeing assets under management of several billion dollars in Asian mandates, establishing a strategic presence across Asia, developing and launching successful growth strategies in Asian markets, as well as building high-performing investment teams in the region.
- Tahnoon worked for a number of years as head of regional equity investments for MFC Global Investment Management (Asia). He started his career with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority as an analyst and portfolio manager, and held a variety of roles during his 16-year tenure there, including deputy CIO for EM Asian equities, head of research for emerging markets and desk head for Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) portfolios as well as initiating portfolio manager for the Korean and Taiwanese equity portfolios.
Tahnoon grew up in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He is a chartered financial analyst and has been a member of the CFA Institute since 1995.
