Based in London, Mark Eban is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Financial Services and Asset Management practices, specializing in the alternative asset management sector. He conducts senior executive assignments for investors in private equity, illiquid credit, infrastructure and all alternative strategies in developed and emerging markets. Many of his clients are new entrants diversifying by product or geography. He conducts board assignments across all sub-sectors of Financial Services.

Professional background

  • Immediately prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 2007, Mark was a consultant at a hedge fund administration platform.
  • Mark began his career as a barrister and later worked for Bain and Company before holding a number of roles in investment banking at Salomon Brothers, SG Warburg and Credit Suisse First Boston.
  • His last investment banking role was the chairman of the investment bank executive committee and global head of capital markets at Commerzbank.

Mark holds an M.A. in Law from Trinity College, Cambridge and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
