Gerhard Krassnig is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Industrial, Digital and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices. He previously led the Industrial Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With more than 30 years of experience, Gerhard conducts senior-level searches for national and international clients in the industrial, consumer, financial services and technology industries as well as executive assessments for a range of organizations. He focuses on searches for an array of roles, including board directors, chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief operating officers and general managers in sales, marketing, operations, human resources and engineering.
Extensive executive search background
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Gerhard was a partner in another global search firm and served as managing director of the firm’s Austrian operations. During his tenure, he focused on board and senior management appointments across all functions.
- Throughout his search career, Gerhard has worked internationally, regionally and locally. With a focus on Europe and its emerging markets, he has built an extensive network of top leaders and deep insights into the region’s talent landscape.
- Gerhard began his career with a multinational consumer electronics firm, where he held leadership roles in operations and industrial controlling.
Gerhard studied industrial engineering and business administration at the Technical University of Graz, where he earned a master’s degree with distinction.
