Silicon Valley Board Index 2007
The 2007 Silicon Valley Board Index tracks the impact of governance changes on the composition and practices of Silicon Valley boards over the past five years, and highlights trends in director compensation. The index also includes a discussion with Fred Amoroso, chief executive officer of Macrovision and chairman of the board of Foundry Networks, and Carol Bartz, executive chairman of the board of Autodesk. From their vantage point as board chairmen, they talk about the pressure placed on directors today and how it is affecting the way boards operate, their interactions with the CEO and shareholders, and how boards need to be managed.
