Minnesota Board Index 2007
In this year's edition of the Spencer Stuart Minnesota Board Index, we examine the data and trends in board composition, board practices and director compensation for the 30 largest public companies based in Minnesota. The index also highlights some notable five-year trends and provides an interesting snapshot of how Minnesota boards have changed since the implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002 and revised exchange listing requirements.
Highlights of this year's index include the increasing appointment of nonexecutive chairs, the trend toward declassifying boards and the increase in audit committee meeting frequency.
