Mike Greenough, chief executive officer of Chicago-based SSA Global, has led a dramatic turnaround of the business since he joined the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software vendor in 2001. Under his leadership, SSA Global has made 11 acquisitions, expanded its customer base and product offerings, and tripled its revenue.
Spencer Stuart consultants Jason Hancock and Dan Romanello spoke with Mike about how he orchestrated the company's turnaround and the company's approach to acquisitions. In the resulting article, Mike also shares his observations about working with private equity.
