Closing China’s supply chain talent gap
David MacEachern, Eric Melulis, Peter Roberts and Jwee San Tan
April 2005
China has transformed the global business landscape while placing new demands on the supply chains of companies doing business there. Based on a survey of more than 700 supply chain and operational executives, we found that more than 50% of companies indicated “lack of available talent” as the greatest challenge to effectively managing their supply chain in China.
In this article, featured in Supply Chain Management Review, Dave MacEachern, Eric Melulis, Peter Roberts, and Jwee San Tan further investigate how top multinational companies are tackling their supply chain management leadership needs in China and how (and where) they are finding the talent.
