No longer solely focused on outsourcing payroll of 401K plans, today’s companies are exploring how outsourcing certain HR functions will help to control costs and lower headcount. This necessitates that HR executives be equipped to work differently, requiring skills not necessarily characteristic of HR professionals.
“HR talent in an outsourcing world” examines why companies cannot wait to address their HR talent needs until the decision to outsource has already been made. In addition, the article outlines how, without the tactical execution responsibility, the HR professional can stay focused on managing the organization’s talent — the most critical area of today’s HR function.
