A member of the Financial Officer, Board Services, Industrial and Consumer Goods & Services practices, Carlo joined Spencer Stuart in 1995 and led the firm's offices in Milan and Rome from October 1999 through 2006. In May 2002, Carlo was appointed a member of the firm’s worldwide board of directors, and in January 2007, Carlo was appointed chairman of Spencer Stuart in Italy.
Carlo specializes in recruiting CEOs, COOs, CFOs and general managers. He has conducted numerous searches for nonprofit organizations, including cultural institutions and foundations. Among his clients are Finmeccanica, Poste Italiane, Ferrovie dello Stato, Demanio and Natuzzi.
Prior to Spencer Stuart, Carlo gained a thorough understanding of sales and marketing through 25 years experience in the durable goods sector within the Zanussi-Electrolux Group. Subsequently, at Seleco and Brionvega, leaders in the production of electronic consumer goods, he was general manager and ultimately, managing director.
Carlo earned a bachelor’s degree in law from La Sapienza University. He served in the Italian Army and is a captain of the Carabinieri Corps. He also is a lieutenant colonel of the Army of the Sovereign Order of Knights of Malta, which is engaged in humanitarian projects. A native speaker of Italian, he also speaks English.
