Michael Lamb is a consultant with Spencer Stuart in Australia, and leads the Chief Information Officer Practice in the Asia Pacific region. He also is a leader within the Technology, Communications & Media Practice in Australia (TCM) and formerly led the practice in the Asia Pacific region for 12 years. In addition, Michael leads the firm's general counsel business in Australia.
He has search experience in diverse functions across all practice areas. He has led high profile searches across TCM industries and been involved in global and regional searches in this sector at Board and CEO level.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Michael was managing director of Australia's largest locally owned telecommunications equipment company, for three years, after holding senior positions in business development, government relations and export for a global TCM company over a five-year period.
During his time within the industry sector, Michael played an active role in the industry association, serving as inaugural chairman of the Telecommunications Export Development Group and as a director of the ATIA (Australian Telecommunications Industry Association). He is a two-time winner of the Individual Telecommunications Exporter of the Year award, reflecting his interest and expertise in the Asian markets. Before Michael's roles in the telecommunications sector, he held senior management positions in the paint industry (Berger and British Paints) and the oil industry (BP Australia).
Born in Sydney, Michael has bachelor of laws and bachelor of commerce degrees from the University of New South Wales and a certificate of Practical Legal Training from the College of Law in Sydney.
