Catherine Kwong is a member of the firm’s Consumer Goods & Services Practice with a focus on senior-level searches across Greater China and Asia. She brings to her role 13 years of executive search experience and a sound track record in the region of building strong partnerships with multinational companies, recruiting leadership teams and providing strategic advice on human capital.
Catherine has broad search experience in the consumer sector and deep understanding of the retail, fast-moving consumer goods, branded apparel, lifestyle products and services, and advertising and communications segments. Her functional expertise includes general management, human resources, sales and marketing, product development, buying, merchandising, sourcing and supply chain roles.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Catherine was a senior member of another leading global executive search firm, where she successfully partnered with multinational companies at the headquarter level to build their leadership teams on the ground in Greater China and Asia. Given her extensive experience in China, she understands the market dynamics, leadership challenges and organizational development issues of this fast-growing and ever-changing market.
Before focusing on executive search, Catherine began her career in advertising and communications. She spent a decade in senior account management positions with world-leading advertising agencies such as J. Walter Thompson, Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather handling blue-chip accounts such Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Colgate Palmolive and Nike.
Catherine is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
