Joe Boccuzi is a consultant in Spencer Stuart's New York office and serves as the firm's global Life Sciences Practice Leader. He provides executive search consulting services for medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as venture capital firms that specialize in healthcare investments. In addition to his work in the life sciences industry, Joe also is a member of the firm's Board Services Practice.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Joe had a combination of corporate management, venture capital and executive search experience. He spent seven years with Xerox Corporation in marketing and sales management positions and taught sales and management programs at the International Training Center. He was also with National Patent Development Corporation, a venture capital firm that specializes in medical technology investing throughout the U.S. and worldwide. While there, he managed four medical startup operations serving as chief operating officer, board member and adviser to the board of directors. He was a recruiter with another international search organization prior to joining Spencer Stuart.
Joe graduated with a bachelor's degree in biological and general science from Yankton College and attended business school at the University of Hartford. He and his wife, Ellen, reside in New York City and Naples, Florida.
