Brian Adamik focuses on executive search assignments in Spencer Stuart’s Technology, Communications & Media, Professional Services and Financial Officer practices. The clients he serves range from large global enterprises to small private equity backed firms. Based in Boston, he works with clients to build world-class, growth-oriented management teams at the C-level.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Brian served as president and chief executive officer of Yankee Group, a leading global research firm focused on communications, networking, media and information technologies. In that role, he led the company's negotiations with a private investment group, culminating in its sale in November, 2005. Brian was instrumental in building and transforming the sales, marketing, product development, IT, HR and finance functions. Having joined Yankee Group in 1994 as director of research, he oversaw many of the company's fastest-growing research programs focused on communications technology and market convergence, and was one of the industry's most frequently quoted analysts in this field. Brian became chief operating officer in 1999 and was named CEO in 2001.
Prior to Yankee Group, Brian spent 13 years in a wide variety of management positions at AT&T, focused on marketing, engineering, network planning, product development and government affairs.
Brian received a master's degree in personnel psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor's degree in management from Pace University.
