Based in the firm's Stamford office, Adam Kovach is a member of Spencer Stuart’s market-leading Financial Officer Practice. From an industry perspective he focuses on the Technology, Communications & Media Practice. During his tenure with Spencer Stuart, Adam has helped to place more than 150 executives in leading companies around the world. Adam has extensive experience in the publishing, interactive and services sectors, helping to recruit CFOs for companies such as DoubleClick, Discovery, Advance Publications, Thomson Learning, Oxford University Press, Microsoft, Asbury Automotive, Global Hyatt Corporation, IMAX, Yahoo!, Teaching Company, Viacom, Activision, Meredith*, National Football League, Forrester Research, Webloyalty and Integra Communications to name a few. He also has deep experience helping Private Equity firms such at KKR, Hellman and Friedman, Warburg Pincus, and TPG on senior financial searches within their portfolio companies. Adam also focuses his efforts in the Digital Media sector, successfully completing searches for AOL, Google, MSN, Reader’s Digest, MTV and Viacom.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Adam worked as a communications consultant for Watson Wyatt in its business integration and communications practice. Before that, he was the operations manager for an industry-leading staffing and management search firm.
Adam earned a master's degree in human resources from the Clarkson University School of Business and is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Elmira College. He lives in Norwalk, Connecticut with his wife, Tara, son Griffin, and daughter Lainey.
