Based in the firm's Stamford office, Adam Kovach is a member of Spencer Stuart’s market-leading Financial Officer Practice as well as the Technology, Communications & Media Practice. From an industry perspective, he focuses on consumer and technology, communications and media searches. During his tenure with Spencer Stuart, Adam has helped to place more than 200 executives in leading companies around the world. Adam has extensive experience working with public and private companies helping to recruit CFOs for companies such as Facebook, AOL, Thomson Learning, Microsoft, Norwegian Cruise Line, Global Hyatt Corporation, IMAX, Vonage, Teaching Company, Activision, National Football League, Forrester Research, Hilton, Getty Images, NexTag, Modell’s Sporting Goods and Advance/Newhouse to name a few. He also has deep experience helping Private Equity firms such as KKR, Hellman and Friedman, Goldman Sachs, Providence Equity, Carlyle, Apollo and TPG on senior financial searches within their portfolio companies.
In addition, Adam is actively involved in helping companies recruit audit chairs and filling key direct report roles to the CFO including corporate controllers, chief accounting officers, tax leaders and divisional finance executives.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Adam worked as a communications consultant for Watson Wyatt in its business integration and communications practice. Before that, he was the operations manager for an industry-leading staffing and management search firm.
Adam earned a master's degree in human resources from the Clarkson University School of Business and is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Elmira College. He lives in Wilton, Connecticut with his wife, Tara, son Griffin, and daughters Lainey and Calleigh.
