Andrzej Maciejewski is a member of Spencer Stuart's Consumer Goods & Services, Financial Services, Industrial, Life Sciences and Technology, Communications & Media practices. He is based in the firm’s Warsaw office, and focuses primarily on serving clients in Eastern Europe.
Andrzej joined Spencer Stuart in December 2005, bringing more than 12 years of prior executive search experience. He worked across industries and functions, eventually focusing on consumer market sectors ranging from packaged goods to consumer finance and insurance. He has conducted numerous searches for leading local and international companies, including Beiersdorf, BMW, Cadbury Wedel, Citibank, Danone, ING, Frito Lay, GE Money, Kompania Piwowarska (SAB Miller), Volvo Cars, Winterthur and many others. Apart from consumer markets, Andrzej also worked on several senior appointments in the Polish media sector, advising such companies as AGORA SA, TVP SA and TVN SA.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Andrzej spent eight years with a leading German executive search firm. He was responsible for launching and growing the firm's operations in Poland. Under his leadership, the Warsaw office became the firm's most profitable and best-performing foreign office. Prior to that, Andrzej was director of the executive search business for another human resources consultancy in Poland. He began his career as a copywriter for a leading global advertising agency.
Andrzej is a founding member of the Polish Executive Search Consultants Association (SDP) and served a two-year term on the organization’s board. He also is a member of the Polish Human Resources Managers Association.
Andrzej studied at the University of Warsaw, receiving a master's degree in law and administration. He also studied at the university's British Center for Legal Studies. He is fluent in Polish and English and also speaks German and Russian.
