Andreas Hürlimann co-leads the firm's European Technology, Communications & Media Practice. He also leads Spencer Stuart’s Communication Services Practice and is a member of the firm's Industrial Practice. Before joining the firm, he spent more than six years in management consulting and previously worked in industrial companies for more than 10 years.
As a member of the global executive team of Arthur D. Little, Andreas most recently led all industry practices and managed the global telecommunications, information technology, media & electronics sectors. He led international client engagements in his practice, as well as in high-tech, aerospace, defense and various other industries. His case work included various functional areas, including: strategy and organisation; technology and innovation management; restructuring; turn-around and performance improvement; change management and corporate finance.
Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Andreas held corporate management positions in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia in the telecommunications, aerospace and electronics sectors. His experience spans the industrial value chain, from corporate development, marketing and sales through research and development, and operations. He has successfully directed several large programmes across continents and cultures.
Andreas holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and additional degrees in marketing management from McGill University in Montreal and in science in engineering education from the University of Klagenfurt in Austria.
He is fluent in English, French and German.
