Armen Simon is a member of Spencer Stuart's Financial Services and Financial Officer practices. He conducts searches for domestic and international financial institutions, predominantly in the banking and insurance sectors, and for industrial finance positions.
Prior to joining the firm, Armen was managing director at Allianz Group. He implemented and led the combined insurance and investment banking corporate marketing and solution platform for large German companies. Before Allianz, Armen spent most of his career in banking, beginning at Deutsche Bank. He also worked for 10 years at a major U.S. investment bank, mainly in London, developing and originating a broad range of German capital markets and corporate finance advisory businesses. He also focused the bank's client work on various specialized global industries. He then moved for five years to SG Investment Banking (Société Générale) in Paris, where he became head of the financial institutions team for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Armen graduated with a Ph.D. in economics and management from the University of London and earned master’s degrees in business administration (Nürnberg and Henley). He is fluent in German, English and French.
