Tanya van Biesen is a member of Spencer Stuart’s global Financial Services Practice and co-leads the firm’s efforts in the financial services industry in Canada. In this role, she conducts a broad range of search assignments at the CEO and general management levels, as well as across a variety of disciplines, including portfolio management, business development, client services, marketing and operations. Tanya’s clients span the financial services spectrum, from pension funds to stock exchanges, investment management firms, retail banks and insurance companies.
Tanya began her career at Procter & Gamble. Working in both Toronto and Calgary, she held positions of increasing responsibility in sales management, culminating in a national role in which she was responsible for several key product categories with some of the company’s largest retail customers.
In addition to her search work, Tanya leads the voting process for the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. She also serves as a director on the not-for-profit board of the Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre.
Tanya holds a M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, a bachelor of commerce degree from Queen’s University, and she has completed the Canadian Securities Course. She speaks English, French and Dutch.
