Dionne Hosten is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Diversity, Financial Services and Technology, Communications & Media practices.
She joined Spencer Stuart from Credit Suisse First Boston, where she was the senior analyst covering the satellite services space in its Equity Research Group. Prior to that, she was an account director in the media and entertainment practice at Proxicom (Dimension Data), where she was responsible for several multimillion-dollar accounts in the print and television spaces.
Dionne also has held positions in the media business. She ran a small men’s lifestyle magazine — Point of View (POV) — as general manager and COO with responsibility for circulation, production, newsstand sales, finance and business development. Dionne also was a circulation manager at American Express Publishing, where she worked on Food & Wine and Travel & Leisure magazines.
Dionne started her career at McKinsey & Company, where she was part of the firm’s media and retail practices. Her assignments there focused on strategy formulation and organizational and process redesign. She then went on to join American Express, working as a special projects manager for the COO and the president of the travel related services — international businesses.
Dionne is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, where she earned a bachelor of science in economics, and its College of Engineering and Applied Science, where she earned a bachelor of science in engineering. Dionne received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
