Tarun Inuganti is a member of the firm's Information Officer and Technology, Communications & Media practices. Tarun brings a passion and an understanding of the leadership required to manage technology organizations. His core specialty is helping organizations recruit chief information officers and other senior technology executives.
With nearly 10 years of executive search experience, Tarun has an established track record of leading more than 200 executive search assignments for organizations of varying complexities, including Fortune 50, mid and small cap companies, as well as early stage and emerging entities. His work spans across multiple industry sectors, including automotive, advanced technology, education, entertainment, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical, retail and other emerging organizations, including venture firms and their portfolio companies. Tarun has worked with clients that include Align Technology, Business Objects, City of Hope, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Expedia, Fair Isaac, Herbalife, Kroger, Kimberly Clark, Nike, Nissan Motor, Palm, Safeway, Starbucks, Sutter Health, Toyota Financial Services, Union Bank of California and Wal-Mart.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Tarun was a core member of the information officer practice with another leading international executive search firm. Previously, he was a successful entrepreneur who has led multiple ventures from inception through acquisition. These businesses included a systems integration, consulting and staff augmentation firm.
Born in Bangalore, India, Tarun graduated from the University of Madras with a bachelors degree in commerce. He also received an M.B.A. degree in international business from The Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. Tarun, his wife and their two children reside in Palos Verdes, California.
