Kelvin Ling joined Spencer Stuart after a 24-year career in a variety of industries: aircraft engines, industrial gas and equipment, and consumer products. He has worked in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the U.S.
Born in Hong Kong, Kelvin started his career in General Electric’s Aircraft Engine Group in Massachusetts. He later returned to Hong Kong with GE Houseware. After couple years, he joined the first joint venture in China, Chung Wang Industrial Gas Limited, in charge of its commercial operations. In 1987, Kelvin successfully sold part of the operations and merged it with Air Products & Chemicals.
The consumer products phase of his career began when he joined Kraft General Foods in China, where he worked for three years. In 1991, he joined British American Tobacco and had assignments in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and the U.S. He also served on the Hong Kong government-sponsored Efficient Consumer Response Board from 2000 to 2003.
Kelvin has a thorough understanding of the Greater China market and is a member of the Consumer Goods & Services, Industrial and Life Sciences practices. He has completed a number of important searches in the industrial products, consumer products, technology and medical equipment industries.
