Brigitte Frankel, is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Orange County office and is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Practice. Her search work focuses on biopharmaceuticals, life science discovery tools and medical technologies. Within those sectors, Brigitte leads recruiting assignments for senior-level positions in both research and development and in general management, including chief executive officers, chief financial officers, leaders of commercial functions and heads of business development.
Brigitte brings a combination of scientific and business expertise to her search practice. Prior to joining the firm, Brigitte was a management consultant with A.T. Kearney, assisting life sciences clients in developing their corporate and business unit strategies. Her expertise included market entry strategy, strategies for maximizing business unit profitability and valuation of intellectual property.
Brigitte also has 10 years of sales experience within the life sciences industry with both Agilent Technologies, where she was the account manager for Agilent’s largest West Coast customer, and with Amersham Pharmacia (now a unit of GE). She began her career in academic research, investigating the mechanisms of proteolysis in mammalian systems.
Brigitte holds a master’s degree in biology from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in biological chemistry from Wellesley College.
