Dr. Dieter Unterharnscheidt is a member of the global Industrial Practice and specializes in the energy and utilities, public services and automotive sectors. He has recruited senior-level executives, including managing directors and board members, and has a deep knowledge of the German energy market. He also conducts high-level searches for finance & administration, sales, marketing and manufacturing positions in several other industries.
Dieter joined Spencer Stuart in 2004. He began his search career in 1996 as a partner with another international search firm. Prior, Dieter was managing director of investment banking for Bankhaus Metzler. Earlier, he was active in investment banking and corporate finance for the Matuschka group in Munich. He started as a management consultant in 1987.
Dieter holds a degree in business administration and a Ph.D. from the University of Frankfurt. He is married and has three children.
