Steven A. Rivard
Steve Rivard is a consultant in the Dallas office of Spencer Stuart and is a member of the firm's Industrial Practice. Steve’s advisory and search activities are concentrated in automotive, process and general industry. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Steve was a principal with another leading international executive search and management consulting firm, where he served as the U.S. leader of their automotive and industrial practice. Before entering the search profession, Steve was with Eaton Corporation, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in the company's automotive components group. Steve led the division’s strategic planning and growth initiatives and played a key role in acquisitions, alliances, and joint ventures to expand product offerings and market share in Europe, North and South America, and several developing nations. Earlier in his career, Steve held positions with Amoco Oil Company in Chicago, leading regional and staff teams in business development, marketing, pricing, and finance. He successfully developed numerous co-branding alliances for the company's retail units, including a national agreement with the world's leading restaurant chain. Steve began his career with General Motors Corporation in Michigan, with a variety of roles in domestic sales and marketing and logistics planning. Steve holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and management from Albion College in Michigan, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
