Mark Broer specializes in recruiting senior executives and board directors within the life sciences sector, with a particular focus on international appointments. He has more than 20 years of experience in industry and professional services, focused exclusively in life sciences. Mark is a member of Spencer Stuart’s worldwide board of directors and leads the Life Sciences Practice in Europe, the Middle East & Africa. Mark is based in Geneva and London.
Before moving into executive search in 1999, Mark was senior vice president at a European-based investment bank, where he managed pan-European client teams for life sciences customers and was responsible for advising clients on major and/or cross-border transactions, including equity placements, M&A and corporate finance. Previously, Mark worked in business management, marketing, business development and corporate strategy at two international life sciences companies. Earlier, Mark served as aspirant fighter pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. He is fluent in English and Dutch, and has a working knowledge of German.
Mark received his Master of Science degree in pharmacology from the University of Amsterdam and his M.B.A. in a joint program between Erasmus University and the University of Rochester, New York.
