Thomas Seclow

Tom Seclow leads the Marketing Officer Practice of Spencer Stuart and is a member of the firm's Consumer Goods & Services and Technology, Communications & Media practices.

Tom leads executive management and board searches across consumer packaged goods, retail and consumer technology industries. He also has expertise placing management positions across a range of functional areas, including digital media & e-commerce and direct marketing. Recent clients include: Burger King, Nike, Amazon, Microsoft, Intel, Gap, Yahoo! and a number of private equity-backed and startup companies.

Tom serves as Spencer Stuart’s quality officer in the San Francisco office and is a two-time winner of the firm’s Lou Rieger Quality Award.

Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 1999, Tom had a successful career in the advertising agency industry, serving blue chip clients such as The Procter & Gamble Company, Fox Sports, The Clorox Company, Citicorp and Taco Bell. His early advertising agency career was in New York and he later moved to the West Coast, where he was a senior vice president for Foote Cone & Belding in San Francisco.

Tom earned a B.S. in psychology from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut. He and his wife, Ann, reside in Orinda, California, with their three children.
