Karel Pobuda joined Spencer Stuart in 1999 after a career in management roles in sales, marketing, finance and, ultimately, general management. He spent six years in the United Kingdom working for a company specializing in consumer products and commodities. In the early 1990s, Karel became managing director for Kraft Foods and, as country manager, helped launch the company's business operations in the Czech and Slovak republics. Before joining Spencer Stuart he ran his own consulting business.
As a consultant at Spencer Stuart, Karel's search expertise includes senior management assignments across a wide spectrum of industries. Although now focused primarily on the consumer goods, financial services, technology and communications and life sciences sectors, Karel also has been involved in projects for clients from various industrial arenas. He also is the force behind many regional initiatives in Central and Eastern Europe.
Karel earned a master's degree from the Prague School of Economics. He speaks Czech, German and English.
