John Doyle has more than 20 years of executive search and industry experience in human resources and the financial services industry. As the co-leader of Spencer Stuart's North American Human Resources Practice, he is regularly called upon by clients to help transform the human resources function into a strategic business partner with senior management. In addition, John has conducted a number of partner-level assignments for consulting firms in the areas of strategy, compensation, performance management, change management and training. As a member of the firm's Financial Services Practice, John also represents investment management firms, mutual fund groups, insurance companies, commercial banks, retail broker/dealers and independent financial planning firms.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, John was a managing partner with another leading executive search firm, where he was a major contributor to its human resources practice. His career previous to executive search included time spent as an executive with The Northern Trust Company in Chicago. As a human resources professional, John directed the development of recruiting, training and management assessment strategies to support the company's business objectives. His career also includes several years in banking and broker/dealer management positions at Continental Bank.
A native of Chicago, John is an alumnus of Lewis University, where he received undergraduate degrees in economics and business administration. He also holds an M.B.A. from DePaul University. John is a member of various industry and professional organizations, such as the Human Resources Planning Society and the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago.
