Robert Nadeau leads Spencer Stuart’s Metals & Mining Practice. Robert specializes in president and CEO, senior management and board of director assignments, and is a leader in the firm's Board Services Practice in Quebec. Previously, he managed the firm’s Montreal office from 1998 to 2007.
Robert joined Spencer Stuart after 11 years with KPMG, where he served as president and managing partner of KPMG Consulting, the consulting arm of KPMG for the province of Quebec, and later as managing partner of the ICEE line of business, including information, communications, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and high technology. Previously, he spent 15 years in senior line and staff positions in the consumer packaged goods industry. From 1983 to 1987 he was president, CEO and a board director of Freddy Products, the North American subsidiary of Findim S.A. Italy. From 1977 to 1983, he served as both vice president and secretary of Imasco Foods, and vice president and general manager of Taillefer Foods. Prior to that, he was legal counsel for Imasco Limited, located at corporate headquarters. During this period he was responsible for over 50 acquisitions and divestitures. Robert launched his professional career at Molson, first as manager for public affairs of Molson Breweries of Canada, and then as assistant vice president of marketing for Molson Brewery of Quebec.
Robert earned a B.A. from the University of Montreal, a bachelor of civil law from McGill University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the Bar of the province of Quebec and is a fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants (FCMC). He is fluent in French and English.
