Judy Havas is a member of the Technology Communications & Media Practice in North America with a focus on the media sector. She has placed key executives in consumer-related industries such as entertainment and broadcasting, cable, new media, video games, toys and consumer technology in a diverse range of functions, including general management, marketing, communications, finance and information technology. At various points in her career, she has worked with the major media conglomerates, including Disney, Fox, Sony, Universal, Vivendi and Warner Bros., as well as smaller independent organizations, and successfully has completed searches for CEOs, presidents and senior vice presidents for an array of functions.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Judy was a partner and director in the Los Angeles office of another leading international executive search firm, where she successfully completed assignments ranging from presidents and CEOs to directors, managers and vice presidents in most line and staff functions in media and fast-paced consumer goods companies.
Previously, Judy was a partner with a Los Angeles-based boutique, executive search firm specializing in the entertainment industry, where she recruited for both large and small companies and was involved with a number of major studios, independent production and distribution companies, as well as broadcasting, cable and home video operations. Prior to this, she spent five years at another executive search firm’s corporate office in Los Angeles. Judy began her career in sales as a retail representative for the ethical pharmaceutical division of Pennwalt Prescription Products headquartered in Philadelphia.
Judy is a graduate of UCLA, where she earned a B.A. in psychology, and of UCLA's Anderson School of Management, where she earned an M.B.A. in marketing and finance.
