Our analysts are active members of client service teams, gathering, synthesizing, and presenting information and data associated with client engagements and market opportunities.
At the beginning of each assignment, they assist in the development of the search strategy, including construction of company target lists, researching of candidate profiles and matching necessary competencies to executive experience, drawing from internal, external and contracted resources.
As assignments progress, they may perform additional research in support of client team activities. Other responsibilities include directed projects to build internal knowledge of industries, companies and executives.
Analysts can be included on business development activities and are encouraged to develop in-depth knowledge of given industry sectors and /or functional specialties. This includes gaining awareness of current news and issues; developing a perspective of competitive landscapes; understanding market influences; tracking share performance;and explaining trends.
Limited opportunities are available for exceptional candidates in our offices throughout North America.
Outstanding analysts will be considered for associate positions over time.
Although analyst recruiting is focused mainly on seniors at select undergraduate institutions in North America, we also welcome the interest of recent graduates. Ideally candidates would have up to two years' experience at an executive search or other professional services firm or have held a research- and client-focused role at a leading company in one of Spencer Stuart's focus areas.
Candidates will ideally have a strong academic record (minimum 3.4 GPA), good research, analytic and communications skills (evidenced through academics, extracurriculars and job experiences) demonstrated leadership ability, have well-rounded interests and enjoy balancing the demands of numerous competing responsibilities.
