Spencer Stuart Re-elects Managing Partner

Chicago, May 31, 2007 — Spencer Stuart, a leading global executive search consulting firm, announced that David S. Daniel has been re-elected as managing partner for his third consecutive three-year term in that role. His new term will begin on October 1, 2007.
First elected as managing partner in May of 2001, Mr. Daniel has led the firm during a period of tremendous success for the firm’s clients, consulting professionals and staff. In recent years, the firm has put particular energy behind extending and deepening its professional standards in order to ensure a consistently outstanding level of care for clients and candidates. The firm also has significantly expanded its specialized Industry and Functional Practices – originally built around specific industry sectors and then functional specialities beginning some 20 years ago. In the process, Spencer Stuart has focused on attracting and retaining an extended cadre of leading professionals. These and other factors have helped the firm experience sustained growth in its relationships, reputation, market impact and revenues. Revenues have grown more than 70 percent during this six-year period.
A strongly international firm from its inception in 1956, Spencer Stuart has witnessed particularly significant growth in Europe and Asia over the past year. As a complement to its highly consultative approach to search, its succession planning and senior-level executive assessment offerings also have experienced increased demand from clients.
Prior to becoming managing partner in 2001, Mr. Daniel was managing director of the U.S. business of Spencer Stuart, and previously led the New York office – where he served clients on a range of leadership issues, including high-level executive and board searches.
Before joining Spencer Stuart in 1994, Mr. Daniel served as president, CEO of Simint USA, the American division of Armani Jeans. Prior to that, he was president of Louis Vuitton, North America, and CEO of Evian Waters of France (U.S.).
Mr. Daniel serves on the Board of Trustees of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and on the advisory boards of the Yale School of Management and the Yale Center for Customer Insights.
